Thornhill

Swimsuits are the same as last year – if yours is in good shape, then no need to replace it. If you are need of a new one, then swimsuits are available at the MAC (next to the Charlotte Latin School on Providence Rd.) They have each team’s suit on the wall – just tell them you are from Thornhill and they will help you. A suggestion in regard to sizes – keep the suits TIGHT!!!

During the first week of practice, the Tornados will help parents determine if a Shrimp, age 6 and under, is ready to handle the rigors of the swim season. Parents will have the first week of the swim season to practice their shrimps in the pool. The coaches will be at the pool at 4:00 PM and parents can have their shrimps come down and work on getting from one side of the pool to the other. On Friday, we will test them, allowing them 1 lane-line break midway. This way, the kids will have a week of practice and the parents will know the expectations of being a shrimp. No clip-boards or stopwatches … just a casual week of seeing who can make the length and who cannot.
