Near the end of the season, our coaches agonize over which team members should be acknowledged for demonstrating the many attributes instilled throughout the season. The following lists are the result. It should be noted that our team prides itself on fellowship and team spirit. Each team member is special. Congratulations!

In addition, a word of thanks goes out to our coaching staff for the hours of work in coaching our neighborhood children. Joanne Paulson, Hilary Hall, and Alex Trei coached our children this year. In addition, Scott MacDonald was our League Rep during this season, and many parents volunteered extra effort and time to help contribute to the season’s success.
Once again, it was a true community effort to combine the children, parents, and sponsors into a cohesive effort to Let The Children Swim!

While we acknowledged some of our team members above, we recognize that each team member worked hard throughout this season, which began with practices in early May and ended in mid July. All of our members are champions, and shared in the Spirit of Thornhill, working together all season long, experiencing the truly unique experience – being a Tornado!
The 2009 Tornados season was another great community event for the residents of Thornhill. Our success was supported by our community, sponsors, team parents, volunteers and the remarkable spirit within each of our swimmers.
Our thanks to our coaches Joanne Paulson and Hilary Hall, returning from last year, to work with our Tornados once again. A special note of thanks to our rookies, Scott MacDonald and Christine Craven, each of whom survived their first season as League Rep and Head Coach, respectively.
